Meet the Team

Ralph Morton Editor

Ralph Morton Editor

Ralph is the leading journalist in the leasing broker sector, he also writes extensively on the fleet and leasing market in both the UK and Europe. Ralph's back catalogue includes BTCC editor for Autosport, editing What Car? and Business Car Manager. Off duty, he's generally to be found enjoying rugby, a swim and almost certainly a beer.

Laura Lerwill Head of Marketing

Laura Lerwill Head of Marketing

Laura leads the marketing for Broker News, she has extensive automotive experience from senior marketing roles with RBS/NatWest, Lombard Vehicle Management and Unipart. Laura loves all things motoring and dreams of the day the family SUV can be replaced by something with fewer doors. And almost certainly a flat six.

Tristan Young Journalist

Tristan Young Journalist

Tristan is an award-winning journalist with nearly 30 years’ experience reporting on the automotive industry focusing predominantly on fleet and retail. As a self-confessed petrol-head, Tristan has a weakness for car classifieds. When he’s not writing about the automotive industry, he can usually be found outdoors with a small pack of border collies.

Nick Sharpe Journalist

Nick Sharpe Journalist

Nick is an automotive fleet journalist whose previous experience is on titles in the business motoring and leasing broker news sector before moving to join Broker News and FleetandLeasing.com. When not crafting the odd word, he can be found wearing his favourite roll-neck listening to jazz. Nick also admits to the odd glass of red wine.

Sarah Tooze Journalist

Sarah Tooze Journalist

Sarah Tooze has been an automotive journalist for more than 15 years, specialising in the fleet and transport sectors. She has held senior positions at industry-leading B2B titles Fleet News and Smart Transport, and led campaigns championing motorists as consumer editor for online used car marketplace Heycar. In 2017 she won the Newspress Automotive Business Journalist award. When not being industrious on behalf of Broker News, Sarah is balancing work and looking after her daughter. She tells us she never touches a glass of wine. Ever...

Russell Hayes Journalist

Russell Hayes Journalist

Russell Hayes’ early career was 14 years of motoring journalism in print (for What Car?), television (for Top Gear), as well as online. Since 2007 he has authored 10 motoring history books on subjects including TVR, the Earls Court Motor Show, the Volkswagen Golf and the original Aston Martin V8. However, he’s not forgotten how to be a motoring journalist and now writes for UK consumer motoring sites and an American classic car magazine – not to mention Broker News. When he’s not writing, Russell can be found in the cinema or planning his next travel adventure.
