LEGAL and compliance firm Auxillias has made two key appointments: Simon Brown and Carrie Stephenson join as director of compliance and training, and director of legal and governance respectively.
As the new director of compliance and training, Simon will shortly be launching Auxillias’ compliance product to work alongside its legal team, supporting ongoing demand in the consumer credit and asset/motor finance sector.
As an expert in FCA conduct rules for consumer credit, he will also develop Auxillias’ training offering further, so more clients can access training materials via different channels, demonstrating staff competence to regulators.
Carrie’s new position will see her lead Auxillias’ commercial and governance functions, bringing in extensive experience, most recently from Mitsubishi Motors UK.
As a corporate and commercial law specialist, Carrie will look to ensure clients both balance commercial outcomes with corporate governance, as well as supporting them on key legal areas encountered on a day-to-day basis.
Specialists in legal, compliance, and regulatory aspects in the consumer finance, motor finance, and asset finance and leasing industries, Auxillias was launched in 2020 by Jo Davis and Daksha Mistry, having already worked together for more than a decade. Jo recently presented as part of the business success in a regulated world panel at the BVRLA Leasing Broker Conference 2021.
Jo Davis, Auxillias CEO, said: “Since Auxillias was founded, we have offered not only the standard legal advisory support, but have also provided clients with consultancy, regulatory, compliance, advisory and training support, all under one roof.
“Following a successful first 18 months, we are gearing up or the next stage of our journey. With Carrie and Simon joining us, we will be able to provide an even broader, more in-depth offering to our clients. We are delighted to welcome them to the team at an exciting time of business development.”
