About the winner
Manchester-based Nationwide Vehicle Contracts is one of the UK’s leading providers of car and van leasing. The business has arranged over 135,000 lease agreements for personal and business customers since it started in 2002.
Why did Nationwide win Best Volume Broker?
Nationwide won the category for the second year in a row. Its strategy centres on sustainable growth while maintaining high operational standards and delivering exceptional service. The panel commented:
‘A superb nomination that evidenced how the business achieves sales volume and first-class customer service – that’s no mean feat to do both.’
Continuous innovation
The judges commended Nationwide’s ongoing commitment to embracing innovation.
The business has successfully introduced AI for both staff development and the renewal process. It is also piloting the use of AI and natural language processing (NLP) to analyse customer feedback and reward employees who ‘go above and beyond’.
To help counter lead times on new vehicles, Nationwide has also developed a used car leasing proposition. One judge commented:
‘Nationwide still leads the way with its digital-first strategy. Great to see the business continue to refresh its proposition through innovation and customer understanding.’
Investment in infrastructure and staff
Nationwide has enhanced its technology infrastructure over the last 12 months, moving to a cutting-edge system to improve operational efficiency and service quality. Employees are well supported via wellbeing programmes and incentivised based on customer satisfaction. The business is also working on an ESG linked employee rewards scheme.
First class customer service
The Manchester-based broker is committed to delivering a great customer experience, demonstrated by its excellent reviews. The judges were pleased to see a ‘positive increase in NPS scores’ as well as being awarded Feefo’s Platinum service standard for three successive years. Nationwide was also commended for its commitment to compliance.
“Winning the Best Volume Broker award for the second consecutive year is a proud moment for all of us at Nationwide Vehicle Contracts. This accolade reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team and reinforces our commitment to excellence. Thank you to everyone who has supported our journey and trusted us with their business.”
