ENGINEERING firm BGEN has launched an electric car salary sacrifice scheme through Vehicle Consulting Solent, a Vehicle Consulting Appointed Representative.
The scheme is part of BGEN’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) plan to reduce CO2 emissions by 25% by 2025 and achieve net zero carbon by 2035.
It also offers employees “substantial” financial savings through payroll tax reductions and reduced fuel costs, Vehicle Consulting Solent said.
Employees can choose from a mix of vehicle types from brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Tesla.

BGEN will also benefit from an integrated fleet management platform, allowing it to track mileage allowances, ensure driving licence validity and maintain vehicles efficiently.
The partnership has been agreed for an initial duration of three years, with the potential to be extended.
Reviews will take place regularly to “guarantee consistent high service levels”, Vehicle Consulting Solent said.
Demand for salary sacrifice is high among businesses. The BVRLA’s latest Leasing Outlook survey (October 2023) reported that salary sacrifice had grown a substantial 54.6% year-on-year – or more than 55,000 cars.
