BMW’s general manager of corporate sales, Rob East, is moving to a new role within the company.
Joining BMW from Mercedes-Benz in 2019 to look after BMW and MINI business and fleet sales, Rob is now promoted to general manager of national sales (pictured above).
Moving up to take on the corporate role is Steve Roberts (pictured right).
Steve has past experience in the corporate sales role having headed MINI corporate and used sales from 2017 to 2019 before taking on a sales development position for BMW and BMW i.
The changes have been instigated by the appointment of former national sales manager, Gary Lewington, who moves to a newly created role within BMW Group as general manager – future retail.
With a 34 year career within the BMW Group, and the last eight as general manager – national sales, his new role will include tracking recent market developments, changing customer behaviours and an increasing focus on digital customer interaction.
Gary will report directly to BMW Group UK CEO, Chris Brownridge.
