- Edinburgh leasing broker loveelectric.cars found EV sales went up by 10% when Green Car Guide EV reviews accompanied its salary sacrifice offers
- Split testing research showed the benefit to car buyers of independent EV reviews
EV SALARY sacrifice specialist loveelectric has increased its conversion rate by 10% when electric vehicle (EV) offers were accompanied by EV reviews supplied by the Green Car Guide.
Following split testing over two months, which compared results for salary sacrifice EVs with reviews versus salary sacrifice EVs without reviews, users viewing Green Car Guide’s EV reviews alongside available vehicles constantly beat the control group. The Edinburgh broker said it resulted in 10% more submitted EV orders.
Paul Clarke, Green Car Guide’s founder and editor, who says he has personally reviewed every EV that’s ever been on sale in the UK, commented:
“People looking for a new electric car can find it challenging to know what a particular model is like to live with in real-life, away from the marketing speak on the manufacturers’ websites. Green Car Guide has produced independent reviews of the greenest cars on sale in the UK for over 17 years, which aim to convey clear facts and honest opinions. I’m pleased to see that the results of the research with loveelectric have supported our own findings that expert reviews are an important factor in people deciding if a particular EV is right for them.”
Steve Tigar, loveelectric founder and CEO, added:
“Salary sacrifice makes driving an electric car more accessible and affordable than ever before – but with many of our customers making the switch for the first time, they need to know which EV is right for them.”
“The results of our research show that offering people expert EV reviews, with clear information about key questions such as driving range and charging speeds – which can be hard to find or unnecessarily confusing elsewhere – helps them in their decision-making process.”

loveelectric and Green Car Guide are now moving from the research phase to implementing EV reviews across loveelectric’s app, where users can view and order any new or used EV on the UK market.
In addition, Green Car Guide has its own images of all EVs available in the UK, which is available to leasing brokers to increase sales.
