Winner: Ellie Tucker
Category Winner:
Rising Star of the Year
About the winner:
Ellie Tucker joined Synergy Car Leasing in August 2021 from Enterprise Car Hire as a Trainee Account Manager and quickly progressed to Account Manager. Ellie is now Senior Sales Account Manager and is the business’s top sales performer this financial year.
Why did Ellie win Rising Star of The Year?
The panel had a tough job again this year with some very impressive candidates in the rising star category but Ellie stood out to the judges for her pro-active, customer first approach. Ralph Morton, Editorial Director for Broker News commented:
‘I think it’s brilliant to see we have such talent coming through the broker ranks which bodes well for the future.’
Proactive approach
The panel were impressed with how Ellie has pro-actively created opportunities to add value for Synergy’s customers. The nomination highlighted how she organised all-day “drop-in” sessions for one of her clients at their offices. This included organising an electric car for the day and arranging marketing banners to draw staff in on the day. Ellie used the event to support customers and drive awareness of personal leasing and salary sacrifice.
Customer first
Synergy’s nomination for Ellie showcased her customer focused approach, particularly in promoting its new salary sacrifice offering. The judges liked the fact that Ellie used video calls to provide convenient demos of the online portal to new and existing clients and used the technology to onboard a high proportion of customers.
One judge commented:
‘Ellie really comes across as a dynamic and pro-active professional who’s rising fast. She has seen opportunities to help and educate clients in the two hottest topics for company car drivers; EVs and salary sacrifice. I was very impressed by the day-long drop in sessions for a major client.’
Embracing new opportunities
The panel were also impressed with Ellie’s positive approach to learning new skills and taking on additional responsibility. Synergy noted that she is happy to put herself out of her comfort zone and embrace new opportunities to drive the business forward. Ellie is also an active member of Synergy’s People’s Forum.
