Best SME Fleet Broker
About the winner:
Fleet Alliance is a leading fleet management and electric car salary sacrifice provider offering contract hire, leasing and a comprehensive range of fleet solutions.
The company recently became part of Global Vehicle Group (GVG) – the UK’s largest and most diverse B2B leasing broker. It manages over 70,000 vehicles with a combined funded value exceeding £2.5 billion.
Why did Fleet Alliance win Best SME Fleet Broker?
Fleet Alliance stood out to the panel for its clear SME oriented approach – it provides a breadth of services, decarbonisation support and also demonstrated impressive ESG results.
The judges summarised Fleet Alliance’s submission by saying:
‘A clear focus on demonstrating how they work with and support SMEs. Very strong evidence and detail provided in the submission to support the claims made and strong on ESG.’
Breadth of SME tailored services
The panel liked Fleet Alliance’s extensive SME service offering, which is designed to simplify fleet management and enable SMEs to concentrate on their core operations.
Delivered through its ‘Fleet 360’ approach, Fleet Alliance offers a comprehensive solution encompassing funding, fleet management, sustainability and advanced technology solutions such as its ‘e-Fleet platform’. One judge commented:
‘Awesome breadth of services. I would say this is better than most leasing companies.’
Driving SME decarbonisation
Fleet Alliance was the first in the industry to offer an electric car salary sacrifice scheme for businesses with fewer eligible employees. The company has since developed the ‘Fleet Zero’ programme, developed with ScottishPower. The programme includes electrification support ranging from consultancy through to energy tariffs and public charge cards.
The panel also noted Fleet Alliance’s ‘Sustainable Mobility’ strategy which centres on environmental impact reduction. It provides SMEs with support on carbon offsetting and improving fuel efficiency, as well as EV transition.
The judges called out the excellent supplied testimonials, which demonstrated Fleet Alliance’s customer impact:
“The straightforwardness and total package on offer was attractive and workable for our business. Our employees have reacted very positively. It is an excellent addition to our already extremely competitive and industry leading employee value proposition and it also supports our ESG credentials which are at the core of our business.”
Impressive ESG results
Fleet Alliance’s strong and well evidenced ESG principles were recognised by the judges. Over 70% of all current vehicle orders are for electrified models. The panel also noted its wider environmental results, including: achieving 100% Carbon Neutral status, reducing annual energy consumption by 57% and eliminating 24 billion grams of CO2.
The company’s commitment to the social agenda is also commendable – its priorities include diversity, inclusion, and community engagement – with over £800,000 raised for charitable causes and communities.
