Best Salary Sacrifice Broker
About the winner:
Based in Edinburgh, loveelectric’s goal is to make electric cars affordable for all. The business was founded by early EV adopters Steve and Lyndsey Tigar in 2021 with a mission to help everyone to ‘love their car, love the cost, and love the planet’.
Why did lovelectric win best Salary Sacrifice Broker?
Best Salary Sacrifice Broker was introduced as a new award this year to reflect its growing importance in the market and it was a hotly contested category.
Winner of last year’s Best EV Broker award, loveelectric won the new salary sacrifice award due to the leasing broker’s impressive digital credentials, customer-led approach and absolute focus on sustainability. The panel commented:
‘Loveelectric is emerging as a heavyweight in the salary sacrifice arena. Their positive customer testimonials underline their rounded approach, customer focus and strong digital credentials.’
Focusing on digital
loveelectric takes a digital-first approach, developing and using proprietary technology. As well as using an in-house developed CRM system, in the past year the business has also developed and launched its Live Vehicle Stock (LVS) API and white-label web app. This development, in partnership with Lloyds Bank – the owner of 1 in 8 EVs in the UK, has enabled the business to rapidly scale its used EV leasing. The judges said:
‘loveelectric has taken early termination protection one step further with its ‘zero risk guarantee’, and has made a big stride towards scaling used EV leasing through its Live Vehicle Stock API and white label web app.’
Customer focus
loveelectric continues to evolve its offering to make EVs a viable option for all. Its used EV leasing proposition has significantly lowered the typical salary required to make an electric car affordable and it has also introduced a ‘Zero Risk Guarantee’ to enhance its early termination protection.
loveelectric’s customer commitment is evident in its Trustpilot review score of 4.8 stars and its award submission showcased excellent customer feedback, including:
‘Switching to an EV was unimaginable for me due to financial constraints. loveelectric made it possible through salary sacrifice. At first, I struggled to find the right car due to stock availability, but one call back solved all my issues. The process was simple and fast — my dream has come true!’
True sustainability
loveelectric is now a fully certified B Corp, demonstrating its absolute commitment to sustainability. As an EV-only broker, the business is passionate about helping the UK transition to electric, and estimates that it has helped businesses and employees reduce emissions by approximately 5,760t CO₂e. loveelectric also works with Carbon Neutral Britain to measure and reduce its carbon impact, and Ecologi to offset its team’s carbon footprint.
