Winner: Nationwide Vehicle Contracts
Category Winner:
Best Volume Broker
About the winner:
Established in 2002 and headquartered in Manchester, Nationwide Vehicle Contracts has grown to become one of the UK’s leading providers of car and van leasing solutions. The business has arranged over 160,000 lease agreements for both personal and business customers, and built a reputation for delivering competitive leasing and exceptional customer service.
Why did Nationwide Vehicle Contracts win Best Volume Broker?
This year marked the treble for Nationwide in the volume category! The panel summarised the win by saying:
‘An exceptional submission. Nationwide leverages its strong digital presence to deliver an exceptional customer experience, maintaining the highest levels of advocacy and satisfaction including a seamless and thorough onboarding journey.’
Nationwide was noted for its use of technology, continued business evolution and commitment to ESG.
Leading with technology
Nationwide continues to invest in, and lead the way with, technology to improve both its internal operations and the customer experience.
In 2024, it completed a major digital transformation, implementing a scalable CRM system and integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve processing times, reduce errors and strengthen reporting.
As a result, the business continues to set new benchmarks for customer service, reflected in high Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and a fourth consecutive Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award.
The judges said:
‘The statistics speak for themselves in terms of the efficiencies Nationwide has driven over the past 12 months and the technology it has introduced to enable a scalable business model.’
Continued business evolution
As a business, Nationwide is not one to rest on its laurels. A good example of this is its recent expansion of its used car leasing programme, which grew 26% in 2024. Ongoing focus on the programme means that significant further growth is expected in the coming year.
While Nationwide expertly leverages automation and AI for efficiency, it also remains focused on delivering a personal service.
Driving ESG forward
ESG continues to be central to Nationwide’s strategy with the business setting itself increasingly stretching targets each year. One judge commented:
‘The focus on ESG demonstrates the quality of this business in my eyes.’
To drive forward its environmental goals, the business has recently implemented LED lighting, renewable energy, and digital-first processes. It also has further plans to embed sustainability, including ESG training for all employees.
Nationwide also has a strong community focus, with charitable donations increasing by 20% in 2024. The company supported organisations including: FareShare Greater Manchester, Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home, and Salford United Junior Football Team.
