Why did vGroup International win Broker Supplier of the Year?
Supplier of the Year was a new award this year which received some excellent entries. vGroup particularly impressed the judges with its customer focus, innovation and strong sustainability agenda.
The judges summarised why vGroup’s took the award by saying:
‘vGroup International presents a comprehensive, well-structured, and compelling narrative that effectively showcases the company’s strengths in innovation, sustainability, and customer-centricity. The combination of concrete data, strong testimonials, and a clear focus on future growth makes it a standout.’
Constant innovation
vGroup has, what it describes as, a ‘relentless focus on innovation’. The panel liked its forward-thinking approach and stated aim of ‘consistently anticipating market needs’.
The business evidenced its commitment to innovation through a range of initiatives – from offering EV-specific products to creating digital platforms such as vLink Hub for seamless ordering and tracking. Its ‘In-Life Programme’ streamlines supplier management by providing a single point of contact, reducing complexity for customers while ensuring consistent quality.
Sustainability focus
The panel applauded vGroup’s sustainability focus – the business is the first UK supplier of finished vehicle products to achieve carbon-neutral status. The judges commented:
‘A large scale business but still with a strong focus on ESG and sustainability achieving a carbon neutral status.’
In 2024, vGroup launched ‘Conscious Carpet’ – a fully recyclable mat range made from mono-materials without hazardous chemicals or plastic packaging. The company is installing solar panels at key sites, targeting a 50% emission reduction target by 2030 and driving zero landfill contribution through a clear waste management strategy.
Customer-first approach
The judges praised vGroup’s customer-first approach, with its operations designed to ensure seamless service delivery. Its business strategy is rooted in customer satisfaction which is illustrated by this customer feedback:
“A client’s aim is to have relationships with their suppliers that will support them in delivering excellent service to their customers; that will constructively challenge them; and be willing to work with them to deliver innovative products, solutions and services that enable them to differentiate themselves from their competition. As a procurement professional, vGroup International is such a supplier.”
