Entries are in – now it’s judging time!

I’ve read through all the entries from the 28 different businesses that entered the range of categories open in this year’s Broker News Awards 2025. And wow! They were good, from the small AR to the largest brokers in the UK and everything in between. But that’s just my view. It’s now up to the judges to do their work. Find out who is judging what here.

Economic presentation at the Lex Autolease conference

Broker confidence high at Lex Autolease conference

It was great to see so many familiar faces at the Lex Autolease Broker Conference last week. One of my overwhelming takeaways from the event was how positive they all were.

Now, that’s probably a broker state of mind anyway, but to a person they were all confident about the year ahead. Given the backdrop of media stories about lacklustre growth, there seemed to be a disconnect. But James Campbell, an economist from Lloyds Banking Group (pictured above), perhaps revealed the answer in his presentation: while surveys suggest otherwise, the signs are that the economy is more resilient. James, you might well be onto something there.
