There’s not one leasing broker I speak to that doesn’t have, as their primary focus, the customer experience. So I was intrigued to see a new take on this from Wessex Fleet, and one that wasn’t centred on the digital journey: helping consumers into new leases by getting rid of their P/Xs.
Spencer Blake explained that their Sales Manager, Greg Tapley, had a strong used car background. “He felt we could secure more new sales if we could help customers with a seamless journey out of their existing owned car,” Spencer told me. “It also means the customer is not left without a car should there be delays in supplying the new lease car.”
I think it’s a great idea if Wessex can make it work. It’s early days yet, but Spencer says they’ve seen strong interest and a decent level of take up.
