Don’t confuse consumers with incorrect terminology
A NEWS item landed in my inbox from ZenAuto, the personal leasing arm of leaseco Zenith. While it noted the business had put 7000 cars on the road, CEO Tim Buchan spoke of ZenAuto’s “leasing subscription” model resonating with consumers.
Pardon? I had a look at the website: it looks like PCH to me. There’s nothing flexible about the terms – just the standard 24, 36 months etc. Now, just because subscriptions are on trend, it doesn’t mean you should start mixing terminology.
Customers should be treated fairly: baffling them with incorrect phraseology is not. And you won’t find it in our story either.
