Loyalty to traditional OEMs fades as Chinese brands resonate

Two interesting reports on the automotive market arrive at the same conclusion: traditional Western OEMs are seeing their grip on customer loyalty weaken thanks to the attractive technology and prices of Chinese new entrants.

The first, by BearingPoint, concludes that electric car buyers are looking at hard performance factors and not traditional values. You can read the report on our sister Fleet&Leasing website here: Electromobility At A Tipping Point Says BearingPoint Report.

The second is from Autotrader. The market report says new entrant brands are chiming with consumers while loyalty to traditional brands falls. It’s a clear signal to leasing brokers as to where to put their marketing effort. You can read the report here.
