Consumer Duty may feel like a real pain at the moment, but it is critical to grasp the essence of what the Duty offers consumers. It’s what makes the leasing broker sector such a trusted source for leasing vehicles. That, and the outstanding customer service on offer.
The BVRLA has a Consumer Duty update at next month’s conference – a crucial part of the day’s agenda. And our Rising Star at the Broker News Awards was Maddy Tyler, Bridle Group’s compliance officer. As one of the judges said: “Compliance is what has shaped the broker industry over the past 20 years – making it more transparent and professional.” We all need more Maddy Tylers to ensure it continues that way.
