Supreme Court delivers common sense for the sector

The worst that could have happened did not: the Supreme Court rejected two out of three complaints about secondhand car finance mis-selling. So that was highly positive. Less so is the continuation of possible redress initiated by the FCA. It’s unlikely leasing brokers will fall under scope – but that cannot be considered a certainty. Leasing brokers need to be fully prepared. The worst is over, but there could be an unpleasant sting in the tail.
