Ford slump is painful

When Ford launched the brilliant Mondeo back in the early 90s I was editing What Car? – the car won, quite rightly, our Car of the Year and featured in a special video (of the VHS type) on the front cover – a first in publishing. As far as I can recall, Ford has always been number one so it’s really painful to see the Blue Oval’s current sales slump thanks to a mismanaged line up. Read the stats behind the slump here.

Another big change is the departure of James O’Malley from Select Car Leasing. Along with Co-Founder Mark Tongue, James was instrumental in driving Select from a bedroom in Reading to a super-power leasing broker still with its HQ in Reading – although a long way removed from that bedroom! We wish James all the best for his future projects.
