FOR the second year running, we’re delighted that leading car brand BYD will be the Headline Partner at the Broker News Awards 2026.
Fresh from its third-year sponsorship of the BVRLA dinner at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on 04 March 2026, BYD is partnering the number one title for leasing brokers at its annual awards luncheon, which will be held in London on 23 April 2026.
“It’s fantastic to have BYD as our headline partner for the second year, supporting us and the broker channel. It reinforces the significance of these awards to the whole sector.”
As well as BYD supporting the entire event, Claudio de Freitas, BYD Head of Fleet Sales in the UK, will be presenting the winning Broker of the Year Award 2026. It will be his second time at the awards – in 2025 Claudio presented the Broker of the Year Award to Synergy Car Leasing.
“Being the Headline Partner of the Broker News Awards for the second year running underlines how important the broking and fleet sector is to us. Our expanding range of cars aligns with the ambition to even more comprehensively cover the hugely important fleet and leasing sector of the market.”
In 2025 BYD’s range was bolstered by several new introductions, including the SEALION 7, DOLPHIN SURF, SEAL 6 Saloon and Touring, and the ATTO 2, contributing to 21,824 fleet sales and 5,964 rental units. It also went from 52 to 125 franchised dealers and in December it was the sixth biggest-selling brand in the nation.
Bringing the offering up to nine models, in January it launched the new SEALION 5 DM-I, a new mid-size plug-in hybrid car offering strong value-for-money in the family SUV class. The ATTO 2 DM-i and ATTO 3 EVO are set to arrive imminently, along with the prospect of ultra-fast ‘flash charging’ with new brand Denza due this summer.
