AUTOMOTIVE tech provider Carmmunity has launched an all-new modular platform called Modulynx. The platform is designed to connect brokers, dealers, and leasing companies while providing each partner with a completely private, branded system should they opt to have their own, customised version.

Unlike traditional shared databases where user data is pooled, the new Modulynx customised platform also grants each client their own isolated database, bespoke branding, and individual rules.

Powering the ecosystem is a central “brain” that tracks stock and order status across all connected systems in real time. When a vehicle is reserved or sold on one system, all other platforms holding that vehicle are instantly updated to prevent double-selling.

“Modulynx is a significant upgrade on our previous platform. It provides our customers the ability to operate in their own silo, while the system operates across all platform users to update stock and availability. We think users will really appreciate what is a major new platform from us.”

The architecture allows Modulynx to scale rapidly and onboard new clients without the need for bespoke software rebuilds, simply duplicating and configuring a standard template.

Built on a Microsoft Azure Server, Modulynx says the infrastructure is designed to seamlessly split across multiple servers to increase capacity as demand grows

Tailored functionality for brokers, dealers, and leasing firms

For brokers

The customised platform can centralise the entire sales operation — combining stock visibility, customer quotes, orders, and delivery tracking. As standard, brokers gain real-time access to stock from multiple dealers and manufacturers, with automatic vehicle reservation upon ordering. Built-in commission tracking and pricing overrides aim to eliminate traditional spreadsheet management.

For dealers

The platform automatically broadcasts listed stock to every broker on the network, removing the need for manual spreadsheet distribution or availability phone calls.

Dealers maintain full control over pricing, overrides, and specific campaigns. Once an order is placed, dealers receive instant visibility of customer and delivery details, alongside a per-vehicle profit sheet tracking everything from the original list price to the final invoiced amount.

For leasing companies

Leasecos who have chosen to work with Modulynx to provide their own customised platform for some or all of their committed campaigns, the software offers comprehensive visibility into the order pipeline across associated brokers and dealers.

They can also track deal types, payment statuses, invoice tracking, and delivery timelines in real time. The platform can maintain a full audit trail from initial quote to final payment, supporting multiple finance structures including BCH, PCH, HP, PCP, and salary sacrifice.

The new Modulynx platform goes live on 01 July 2026.
