CBVC Vehicle Management recently held its CBVC Masters Golf Day at the prestigious JCB Golf and Country Club in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
The rescheduled event took place on 10 September.
Limited to 40 golfers, the competition was won by Dean Wetteland (Norse Commercial Services), who is pictured below receiving the CBVC Masters Steel & Alloy Trophy from CBVC financial director, Jennie Chisholm. With a score of 38 points, he was four clear from the chasing field.
The Team prize was won by Jack Sanders (Deloitte), Nick Rose (Tandom Metallurgical), Charles Fenton (TNC Granite) and Chris Barnes (CB Sports Performance) with a score of 82 points.
Following the cancellation of our normal Golf Day at the end of May, we were extremely lucky to hold the event on the morning the Prime Minister announced the maximum social gathering of six policy. We’re likely to have held the last corporate golf day at JCB this year.
Mike Manners, managing director, CBVC Vehicle Management
In a departure from the normal convention, the Staffordshire leasing broker and fleet management business recognised the challenges facing charitable organisations by nominating the Abbots Bromley Sports Association as its recognised charity for the day. Thanks to generous guest donations and auction bids, in excess of £5000 was raised for the charity.
“Our thanks to all of our clients, not only for their business during the year, but also for their generosity to our nominated charity. My thanks also to JCB for helping us get the day played and their excellent hospitality in the most challenging of circumstances,” added Manners.
“We are planning to return to our normal date in late May next year and hopefully return to a full 60 golfer field.”
