STAFFORDSHIRE leasing broker, CBVC Vehicle Management, is partnering with insurance giant LV= General Insurance to provide the leasing platform for ElectriX.

ElectriX is the insurer’s brand new offering to both private and business drivers of a one-stop shop for electric cars – from leasing a vehicle, through to buying a home charger and getting electric car insurance.

The role of CBVC Vehicle Management is to help drivers find the right car, based on their needs and budget thanks to a co-branded end-to-end leasing journey. The website is offering hundreds of electric cars including the Mercedes-Benz EQB, Nissan Ariya, Renault Zoe, VW ID4, BMW iX, and Hyundai Kona at short notice.

Mike Manners, managing director of CBVC Vehicle Management, said:

We are absolutely delighted to be working together with ElectriX. Our ethos has always been to be at the forefront of the market and invest in the latest technology. The transition to electric vehicles is so critical and with our joint know-how we are thrilled that we can now offer consumers a really exciting and affordable pathway into electric cars. ElectriX not only makes things really easy for the customer but also provides access to a great range of new vehicles right now.

Gill Nowell, head of EV communications at ElectriX, added:

Electric cars are our future and are rapidly gaining in popularity as being great cars to own and drive. The tide is turning in favour of zero tailpipe emission vehicles, with battery electric cars making up 16% of car sales during the first half of 2022, but we still have a long way to go. This is where ElectriX comes in. We want to take the hassle out of electric car ownership which is why we’re giving drivers who are thinking about making the switch access to useful information, products and services, demystifying some of the common jargon used and be a source of truth when it comes to zero tailpipe emission driving.

CBVC Vehicle Management recently appeared at the Fully Charged Live show offering electric car leasing and advice to attendees.

Editor’s comment

This is the second example in two weeks where a leasing broker is providing the leasing platform for a partner. Last week we saw Wessex Fleet powering the Snows Direct website; and now CBVC Vehicle Management powering the ElectriX website.

Intelligent technology collaborations such as these demonstrate the expertise leasing brokers can bring to the automotive sector outside their normal fields of operation. Bravo to both. Let’s see more brokers seeking technology partners in the future.
