LEASING brokers can find out how to assist fleet customers with their duty of care obligations at CLM Fleet Management’s fleet safety event in London on 25 September 2024.

CLM has been supporting customers with duty of care for more than 40 years and makes sure drivers are safe and compliant through checking their licences, identifying high risk drivers through its driver risk profiling model, and carrying out grey fleet checks.

Brokers can also offer fleet customers accident management through CLM.

The free-to-attend event will help CLM’s corporate customers and broker partners understand the current landscape of fleet compliance, with valuable insights from a group fleet compliance manager at one of CLM’s corporate customers.

Representatives from CLM and its driver training partner TTC Group will also be on hand to share expert advice.

CLM says that corporates and SMEs don’t always fully understand their legal duty of care obligations, particularly when it comes to the grey fleet (drivers using their own vehicle for business purposes) and may not have the necessary checks in place. This means there is an opportunity for brokers to add value and show that risk management and having safer drivers is better for the company brand, insurance premiums, maintenance costs and, ultimately, better for people.
