BROKERS can now offer their customers pay-as-you-go maintenance through CLM Fleet Management, which has access to more than 7,000 garages and tyre agents across the UK.
The service is an alternative to CLM’s fixed-price maintenance proposition and is available to brokers’ customers regardless of vehicle age and mileage.
Drivers complete an online service booking form which is sent through to CLM’s fleet control team. The team runs external price checks to ensure they can provide a competitive offer and once the driver has agreed, payment is processed securely online through Stripe.
CLM can also arrange alternative transport for the driver, if required.
If the garage identifies that any additional work needs to be done to the vehicle, CLM’s fleet control team verifies it and seeks authorisation from the driver.
“Pay-as-you-go maintenance gives the broker a valuable opportunity to speak to a customer throughout the contract, which reinforces their brand and can support customer retention.”

AFL Group one of first brokers to use new PAYG service
AFL Group has been offering pay-as-you-go maintenance through CLM to its consumer and business customers throughout the UK since June 2024.
Customers can request quotes for repairs including tyres, routine services and MOTs and benefit from “significant cost savings”, according to AFL’s Business Development Director Patrick Fagan.
Other customer benefits include the assurance that no unnecessary repairs are conducted as maintenance work is authorised by CLM’s team of skilled technicians, and the convenience of collection and delivery services, where available.
“This initiative underscores AFL Group's commitment to innovation and customer contact throughout the life of a contract. By offering flexible maintenance options and stringent quality controls, AFL Group aims to set itself new standards in vehicle care across all its customers with support by CLM.”
