FINANCE specialists Close Brothers are providing the funding for a new salary sacrifice scheme launched by EV specialist broker Octopus Electric Vehicles.

Called Electric Dreams, the salsac business only offers EVs and, says Octopus, is low effort and zero cost for a business to set up.

So far Octopus EV has attracted 15 firms to Electric Dreams, including companies such as Huel and Purplebricks.

Businesses and employees across the UK are searching for ways to do their bit for the environment. We have seen a seven-fold jump in salary sacrifice enquiries in the last year. If businesses in the UK introduce a scheme like this, they have the power to significantly reduce transport emissions across the UK by 2030.

Fiona Howarth, CEO, Octopus Electric Vehicles

Helena Marson, chief people officer at Purplebricks, added: “We’re committed to improving environmental sustainability wherever we can and offering our employees the opportunity to drive an electric car through salary sacrifice is a great way to do this. Octopus EV’s salary sacrifice scheme makes driving electric easy and affordable, helping our staff lead more sustainable lifestyles.”
