GOOD NEWS for our Women in Broking series: Drivalia has confirmed it will continue its support for a fourth consecutive year.

Launched in June 2022, the Women in Broking series was created to boost the profile of the brilliant women in our sector and encourage more to join.

Since then, Broker News has published monthly features to showcase inspiring women from across the broking community – from rising stars to established business leaders.

Commenting on the renewed partnership, Duncan Green, Commercial Operations Director at Drivalia, said:

“We’re very proud to have been involved with Women in Broking since its inception and I’m delighted to confirm our continued partnership as it enters its fourth year. This is such an important initiative, and one that absolutely aligns with Drivalia’s values. The features are a great read, offering fascinating insights into hugely diverse career journeys. We’re looking forward to another great year of collaboration.”

Women in Broking mentoring in the spotlight at BVRLA conference

Feedback from feature participants has consistently highlighted the importance of good mentors, which led to the launch of Women in Broking mentoring earlier this year. The scheme will be highlighted at the BVRLA conference next month, where Broker News is the official media partner.

Two highly experienced Women in Broking committee members, Sam Ward and Laura Muir, are mentors on the programme. They provide one-to-one coaching sessions at Women in Broking events and online.

"A huge thank you to Drivalia from the Broker News team for its ongoing partnership with Women in Broking. It’s vital that we continue shining a light on the incredible talent in our sector, and the breadth of opportunities available in the leasing broker world. We’re also delighted to see the strong engagement with these features from the broker community who do a terrific job of supporting one other."

Since its launch, Women in Broking has:

  • Introduced a Women in Broking category for the Broker News Awards and recognised three winners – Sam Ward, Kelly Marshall and Donna Kelly
  • Hosted two successful networking events, with more planned
  • Produced a special Women in Broking BVRLA podcast for International Women’s Day 2024
  • Run Women in Broking LinkedIn campaigns on International Women’s Day for the past two years
