MERCEDES Benz Vans has added drive style monitoring software to all new Sprinter and Vito Tourer vans as standard.
Increasing numbers of customers are using software to monitor their driving standards. Mercedes Benz offers three years’ free usage with models built since May 2019.
In the case of the Sprinter, the Mercedes Pro Connect system can be retro-fitted remotely, using over-the-air updates.
Functionality includes analysis of acceleration, coasting, anticipation, coasting, and smooth driving. These can be fed back to improve behaviour whilst driving, maximizing safe practices, and increasing longevity of parts.
