EUROCELL, the UK’s leading upvc window, door and conservatory manufacturer and distributor, has replaced a large proportion of its light commercial vehicle fleet with a huge order of 158 new vans following advice and input from its long term fleet management partner, Glasgow-based Fleet Alliance, now part of the Global Vehicle Group.
The vans, 158 Mercedes Sprinter H2 L4 LCVs complete with bespoke customisations, are being rolled out across the fleet to service the company’s 200-strong branch network throughout the UK. The Sprinters are being funded via five year leases with contract hire and leasing specialist Arval UK.
Eurocell’s Procurement Programme Manager, Chris Walker, said: “The size and specification of these vehicles fit perfectly with ensuring we are able to deliver products that would otherwise be extremely difficult to deliver to the vast range of sites and home addresses across the UK.”
Publicly quoted Eurocell, based in Alfreton, Derbyshire, outsourced the management of its 400-strong car and van fleet to Fleet Alliance back in 2017, a move that had paid multiple dividends, said Walker.
“Due to the organisational structure of our internal fleet management, having Fleet Alliance as a strategic partner has seamlessly complemented our operation. “In relation to the ‘new van’ rollout, Fleet Alliance has provided an excellent service, ensuring that the administration and general onboarding of the new fleet has been completely painless.”

As part of the outsourced fleet management process, Fleet Alliance implemented its cloud-based fleet management and reporting suite, e-Fleet, which now carries full details of all Eurocell vehicles and plays a key role in their management.
e-Fleet allows access to all fleet information via desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone on a 24/7 basis, thus increasing control but reducing fleet administration costs, and allows more effective management of the fleet regardless of the number of funders.
Management information reporting tools allow the generation of numerous combinations of reports, covering key areas such as vehicle condition, mileage management, P46, P11D and MID reporting.
“Our drivers have recognised the significant improvement in experience whilst being supported by Fleet Alliance, especially since the introduction of e-Fleet,” Walker added.
“We have also been impressed by the proactive communication from the Fleet Alliance team when actions are required such as MOTs and servicing, which has made responsibility for the company vehicle easier for the driver.”
Fleet Alliance CEO, Andy Bruce, commented: “Providing outstanding levels of customer service and support is at the heart of everything we do. And it’s very gratifying to hear that Eurocell values the services that we provide so highly. Long may it continue.”
