EUROPCAR Mobility Group UK has managed to cut its employee CO2 car emissions by a staggering 85% in 18 months thanks to a decarbonisation strategy managed by CBVC Vehicle Management.
The decarbonisation of the fleet is part of a group-wide One Sustainable Fleet process to reduce CO2 emissions.
Ron Santiago, managing director of Europcar Mobility Group in the UK says the company car fleet CO2 reduction is part of the company’s sustainability commitment:
We know that we must ‘walk the talk’ when it comes to reducing carbon emissions and that has to start with our own company car fleet. It’s great to see our colleagues enthusiastically embracing zero emissions with almost all of those who opt for a company vehicle now driving electric. By making the process straightforward for Europcar employees to understand their company car options, CBVC is helping them and us make the switch more easily.

The Burton-on-Trent broker has created a Driver Vehicle Selection Portal for Europcar employees so they can select an EV, with market-leading technology, video reviews and vehicle trade-up options.
There’s also the facility for cash allowance drivers to opt back into the company car scheme. Using multi-bid acquisition CBVC has also delivered lower costs for the Europcar business.
Electric vehicle take up has been incredibly strong at Europcar Mobility Group UK – it’s currently over 90%. We’re delighted to see the success of the programme to date and the associated carbon emission reduction is significant.
