EUROPCAR Mobility Group has appointed David Saint to the newly created role of UK van & truck director.
David reports directly to UK managing director, Gary Smith.
Europcar says the new position reflects the company’s increased focus on commercial vehicle solutions for customers.
Previously van & truck director at Europcar Mobility Group Germany, David has extensive experience in the van rental sector. He will be responsible for expanding initiatives such as the UK Van Supersite network, as well as looking at future schemes to help UK businesses meet the Government’s emissions objectives.
David commented on his appointment:
“With the change in the UK economy, and the Government’s push to end the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2040, the industry will be seeing some major transformations. Add to this the burgeoning logistics marketplace and growing gig economy which is changing the way the van rental industry operates, it’s clear that future business mobility will require some imaginative thinking. It’s exciting times!”
