GATEWAY2LEASE is launching used car leasing. The broker joins a small group of leasing brokers that offer used leasing in what looks to be a rapidly expanding sector.
Vehicles will be offered on both PCH and BCH from a 12 months’ rental, Gateway2Lease partnering with Arval and Lex Autolease for supply. All vehicles will be offered with a fully maintained lease contract.
"We're not the first broker to offer used leasing but I think we'll be the first to offer full integration through APIs with both Arval and Lex which will give us an edge. I'm particularly pleased that we can offer used car leasing to both our personal and business customers."
Rob Marshall, Operations Director, Gateway2Lease Tweet
The set up has taken some four weeks, said Rob, adding that launching now enabled Gateway2Lease to fully understand the process – given the time of year – before ramping up the marketing in the New Year. “We’ll slowly increase the traffic from January,” he added.
According to Rob, Gateway2Lease salsac partner The Electric Car Scheme is currently doing “north of 50% on salsac which tells us that, beyond the tax benefits, price point is important”.
Rob added that used leasing could account for a quarter of the Bromsgrove broker’s leasing volume in the future with the right product availability and price point.
“It also allows a driver to choose a lower cost electric car on a 12-month contract before committing to a longer-term lease on a brand new vehicle,” added Rob.
Gateway2Lease won the Broker News Award for Innovation in 2024 judges highlighting the leasing broker’s superior development work on APIs and its commitment to embracing environmental change at its Worcestershire HQ.
