INTERNATIONAL Motors is to take over the after sales operation of Mitsubishi Motors.
Mitsubishi, which is withdrawing from the UK market as a sales operation, says the deal provides certainty for customers and its dealer network that cars and pick ups can be maintained well into the future.
International Motors, currently the official UK importer for Subaru and Isuzu vehicles, was established in 1976 and has a parts distribution business and IT infrastructure into which the Mitsubishi after sales operation can be integrated.
We are widely recognised for our award-winning customer service and we are confident that we will be able to offer the high quality of service Mitsubishi customers are accustomed to. We have a longstanding relationship with Mitsubishi Corporation and a good track record of representing Japanese brands in the UK market. This fits perfectly with our long-term strategy to expand our automotive business.
Andrew Edmiston, managing director, IM Group
The commercial details of the arrangement – which are subject to due diligence – remain confidential.
