IF there’s one word that Jason Dawn uses consistently to describe the new Modulynx platform, it’s ”flexibility”.
Modulynx is the newly developed procurement platform that provides brokers, leasing companies and dealers with an ecosystem that is private to users – no data is shared – but an overall brain controlling the system’s central nervous system links everything together.
Jason says that “Link everything, control anything is the theme underlying the new system and the rebrand.”
The system has been built in-house from scratch by the Carmmunity IT team and AI enabled in a remarkably short time: just six months at a development cost in the region of seven-figures. But Jason says there’s a huge amount of functionality within the system, offering users the flexibility – that word again – to configure the system how they want.
“We wanted something for ourselves that was more flexible than our existing platform,” explains Jason. “We’re committing to stock – at launch of the new platform we’ll have c50,000 vehicles available – and talking to our customer base they wanted something for committed stock and special offer campaigns, too. So we’ve developed the platform to manage stock and track orders to delivery.
“What’s more, it automates the flow of information between different companies in real time. So everyone is instantly up to date.”
Interestingly, Jason acknowledges the system will appeal to multi-faceted users across a wide range of industries. However, the focus for the immediate future remains 100% on the system’s automotive application.
Customers have dedicated server with Modulynx
The system works by offering users a dedicated server in which their information is siloed. A central brain sits at the top of these individual silos and organises information that requires sharing.
“For us at Carmmunity we’ll have one dedicated server, while customers will have their own standalone systems,” says Jason.
Brokers can put any deal through the api-enabled system and Modulynx automates the process. Dealers can update the system with their own stock.
What’s more, the system is CRM agnostic. “Any broker CRM system can be used with Modulynx as long as it’s api enabled.”
50,000 vehicles available from launch
Jason says that there are currently 125 leasing brokers actively using the current system, with a similar number using it on a sporadic basis. But with Modulynx he anticipates the number of active users to increase.
There will be some 50,000 vehicles on stock at launch which have been sourced from dealer groups and OEMs; as a terms holder Ford products are obviously still a major part of this but it will also include terms from Kia, BYD, Chery, Genesis and Hyundai “with more in the pipeline” adds Jason.
“I’m sure brokers will love the flexibility in the new system,” he continues, using that favourite word of his again. “Brokers can make it their own system if opting to use a customised version. They can write their own reports and it will interact with any other system as long as it’s api enabled. Modulynx can read and write from Excel and Google Sheets. In fact, it can convert all sorts of stock data into the system but with minimal effort and tailored to the user’s choice or preference.”
Jason says that he’s really proud of the response from companies who have seen the system. “It’s plugging the gap between other provider solutions. It can pretty much be tailored to do anything. You can mould the system around your business rather than the other way around.
“Within the customised version, there’s the ability to load their own terms including those that are available for Business Contract Hire, Personal Contract Hire, Salary Sacrifice, Cash Purchase and Public Sector/Local Government. In addition, it can also incorporate Used vehicles, which I’m certain will appeal to dealers, brokers and leasing companies alike.”
Future developments and system support for Modulynx
Jason says that one of the developments they are working on is delivery tracking delivered via an app, either iOS or Android.
In addition, there’s an AI chat bot that will help users drill down into information stored and it can also be used to make bulk updates to specific elements that impact the pricing; for example VED increases.
With so much capability – flexibility? – Jason says he is expecting to provide a high level of training support as brokers become used to the system and discover its capabilities. A dedicated team of product support professionals will be available to users from the get-go .
“We’ll have different levels of training support,” explains Jason. “We don’t want to overwhelm users, but we can train them to maximise the full potential of the system.”
Modulynx was unveiled on 16 and 17 June 2026, with its full launch scheduled for 01 July 2026.
