BROKERS with access to Maserati terms need to know about this: the new Maserati Ghibli saloon with hybrid technology.

It’s hybrid technology of the mild type, with the addition of a 48v battery to provide greater efficiency.

Nevertheless, Maserati says it will sound like a proper Maserati.

Engine is a 2.0-litre petrol, replacing the V6, which can accelerate to 62mph in 5.7 seconds thanks to an additional electric supercharger (or e-booster).

Power is a healthy 330hp and torque a lusty 450Nm.

There have been stylistic changes to the front grille and rear light clusters. Hybrid Ghiblis are also recognisable by their blue colour, developed by Centro Stile Maserati.

The blue signifier can be seen on the three iconic side air ducts, the brake calipers and the thunderbolt in the oval that encloses the Trident on the rear pillar. The same blue colour reappears inside the car, in particular on the embroidered seams of the seats.

Rossella Guasco, responsible for colour and trim, is pictured with the new Ghibli Hybrid.
