LEASING Gorilla is sponsoring talented newcomer Sam Harvey in the 2022 Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge.
The leasing broker – part of Staffordshire-based CBVC Vehicle Management – will be supporting Harvey as he makes his racing debut this season competing for the Leeds-based Xentek Motorsport team.
We’re thrilled to be sponsoring Sam Harvey this season and can’t wait to see how he performs. It should be an extremely exciting championship and we’re delighted to be able to support Sam as he starts his racing career. Encouraging and supporting young people during the formative stages of their career journey is a keystone of the Leasing Gorilla management approach, so sponsoring Sam runs true to our values.

Harvey says he’s always had a huge passion for motorsport and has automotive pedigree in the form of two and four-wheel champions from both sides of his family going back two generations.
The 17-year-old Harvey from Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham will be one of the youngest on the starting grid but has already shown potential through a promising testing programme with the Xentek team. To further enhance his career, Harvey is also studying the technical aspects of the sport at The National College for Motorsports at Silverstone.
Acknowledging the Leasing Gorilla support, Sam Harvey said:
I’m really looking forward to this opportunity and I’m determined to demonstrate my ability. I’m working hard to be the fittest and most prepared driver on the grid and feel very fortunate to have such a supportive team around me. I would like to thank Leasing Gorilla and my other sponsors for enabling me to pursue my dream.
The highly competitive one-make series Ginetta GT5 Championship runs alongside the British Touring Car Championship & British GT Championship. The series is also a popular proving ground for future professional racing drivers.
