BROKER funder Lex Autolease has helped deliver 45 new vehicles to North-West based housing association Together Housing.

The assistance from the UK’s largest fleet management provider allowed more of Together Housing’s technicians to reach customers in need of support during COVID-19. The housing association manages more than 36,000 homes across the North of England.

Together Housing was providing emergency repairs during lockdown, as well as continuing vital gas and electrical safety inspections across all of its properties.

Its new vehicles were ordered before the coronavirus outbreak started, and were partway through being converted, when lockdown came into force.

Despite the restrictions that were in place, a team from Lex Autolease worked with the vehicle conversion partner and Together Housing to ensure the vehicles were completed, before co-ordinating collection.

This involved a number of volunteers being transported by minibus to the converter’s site in Wakefield, while adhering to social distancing guidelines.

The 45 new vehicles are part of Together Housing’s 400-strong fleet.
