CONGRATULATIONS to Matt Axford who has been promoted to the board of West Midlands leasing broker Gateway2Lease.
Matt, who steps up from his role as general sales manager, becomes sales director with board responsibility, effective January 2022.
Having joined after 15 years with dealer Listers Group, Matt has made a significant impact on the sales performance of Gateway2Lease during the past four years, says operations director Rob Marshall.
We’ve been very pleased with Matthew’s contribution to the business and we’re delighted to see him step up and join myself and MD Kelly Marshall on the board. In his new role, Matthew will be responsible for delivering our sales objectives, which includes a project to enhance our current sales structure and set us up for future growth.
Matt will now be responsible for 12 sales executives – double the number when he first joined the broker – along with three administrators and an end of contracts team. He added that Gateway2Lease had seen a significant increase in the number of business contract hire deals being written as company car drivers moved into electric vehicles.
