MITSUBISHI Motors in the UK has appointed its first wave of sales dealers ahead of the Outlander PHEV and L200 Series 7, expected in showrooms from May 2026.

The brand halted new model introductions to the European market in 2020 in order to concentrate on the ASEAN region. International Motors then took over its sales operation.

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, which already has 105 operational aftersales sites, has confirmed 33 new sales sites, with a second wave of appointments expected soon. The brand is on course to meet its target of 60 sales dealers by the time the vehicles arrive in showrooms.

The first wave of sales dealers to be officially appointed includes several long-standing Mitsubishi dealers, such as:

  • Humphries & Parks in Maidstone
  • Adam Purves in Galashiels
  • Fields of Bromsgrove
  • Celtic Mitsubishi in Swansea
  • JT Hughes in Shrewsbury
  • Tweedmouth in Berwick-upon-Tweed

These dealers have decades of experience with the Mitsubishi brand, with an already loyal customer base.

Several sales appointments are with new partners to the Mitsubishi franchise, but many have an existing affiliation with other brands within the International Motors portfolio. These include York Mitsubishi, F J Chalke in Wincanton, Jeffries of Bacton and Startin in Twycross.

“We are pleased to welcome back so many familiar dealers as authorised sales points,” commented Sharon Townsend, Head of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK. “The experience, enthusiasm and knowledge they bring to the network and our customers are vitally important, and it will be wonderful to see new Mitsubishi vehicles back in their dealerships.”

“We are also pleased to welcome some new partners to the franchise. The news around Mitsubishi vehicle sales has generated considerable interest from customers and dealers alike, and we look forward to completing our new dealer sales network in the coming weeks.”
