SKODA has issued disguised pictures of its new electric SUV out testing.

Called the Enyaq iV, it is the first Skoda model to be built on the Volkswagen Group’s modular MEB platform (the basis for the VW ID.3). It has a range up to 310 miles.

The car will be offered with either rear-wheel drive of four-wheel drive transmission.

The entry-level model will be the 55kWh Skoda Enyaq iV 50 with a 211 mile range, while a mid-range model will offer 242 miles. A top 82kWh model has the potential for 310 miles (500km) on a single charge.

Fast charging will also be available, with 80% charge within 40 minutes.

Skoda says that production will start at the end of 2020 with sales starting Q1 2021.
