LEX Autolease has launched a brand new app to make customer management of a car lease more interactive and to encourage them to renew at contract’s end with the supplying broker.
Called Caura, the app allows drivers to keep the vehicle compliant, ensure the vehicle is correctly maintained, get insurance quotes, manage daily toll charges, airport parking and drop off fees.
But the key appeal for brokers lies in the app’s ability to help the customer renew at the end of the contract.
“What we’re hoping to provide customers with is the opportunity to renew, by making it intuitive, simple, and by giving them an offer that is unavailable to them otherwise. Our broker should then have an arrangement that is ‘ready to go’ and will of course be paid for the fulfilment of that arrangement.”
Steve Cocks, Head of Broker, Lex Autolease Tweet
The app makes it easy for the customer to manage the life of their vehicle, and then presents the opportunity to commence a new contract with the same supplying broker.
Tim Simpson at Lex Autolease explains further:
“We want to allow customers to look at their finance agreement and make any changes if they want to, and use our approved garages for those with maintenance. But then, at the end of the contract, we want to offer them their next car, configure the term and mileage and go through a soft credit check to assess their affordability. We will then pass them off to a broker to continue that relationship, taking them through a proposal, ordering the vehicle and delivering it. It reinforces that relation between the customer, the broker and ourselves.”
The Caura app has three key features:
- Vehicle compliance – MOT, road tax and insurance
- Vehicle maintenance – Allows the customer to book a car into 6,500 garages across the UK including most main dealers.
- Manage daily charges – this covers city charges, toll roads, airport drop off charges – UK parking will appear on the app later in 2025
The Caura app and its benefits will be featured content at the forthcoming Lex Autolease Broker Conference, which is taking place at the London Transport Museum on 27 February 2025.
Lex Autolease was voted Funder of the Year by leasing brokers at last year’s Broker News Awards.
