CONGRATULATIONS to Toby Marshall who has been appointed managing director of Chinese brand GWM Ora.
Toby steps up from his role as sales and marketing director, a position he has held since October 2021.
Toby is not new to the hot seat: he was managing director of Mitsubishi Motors prior to his appointment at GWM Ora.
The change in management is part of a raft of senior management changes at International Motors Ltd (IML), importers of the Ora brand.
William Brown is made managing director of IML and Alan Able is made managing director of Isuzu.
The organisational restructure is designed to foster business growth, with an eye to handling further management of Chinese electric brands to the UK and Europe.
As a business, we understand that the automotive landscape has changed and continues to evolve. This can be both a challenge and an opportunity for manufacturers. IML’s new strategic focus is to provide a support structure for manufacturers that helps them tailor a solution to perfectly address their unique market challenges, while leveraging our infrastructure and expertise to maximise opportunity.
William Brown, managing director, IML
Toby Marshall added: “GWM Ora brand is a perfect of example of how IML can add value to manufacturers, cutting out the massive costs associated with a direct route to market approach. Our in-house team of experts have years of experience working with both established brands and start-ups which means we’ve got the market knowledge and resource to launch and manage brands efficiently.”
