A NEW vLink online ordering platform has significantly reduced the time it takes dealers to order leasing driver packs, branded car mats, van ply lining kits and towbars.
vGroup International says the new portal has reduced the processing time from login to check out from an average five minutes to as little as 48 seconds.
The company says dealerships can save as much as £300k in reduced admin time costs per year.
The functionality also allows a single dealer login to process multiple online orders for different customers and for a wide range of products.
Linda Chambers, head of customer services, said:
“Generally, each new and used vehicle has branded car mats, number plates and driver packs that dealers need to fit.
“Add in safety packs, dash cams and van packs that comprise seat covers and rubber mats you can start to see the complexity for dealers in processing every new vehicle.
“Our portal aims to reduce order complexity and processing times for customers, which has to be good news.”
Chambers added that vGroup receives up to 7,500 orders each week. And that as vehicle leasing companies try to offer a differentiated service proposition, so the range of bespoke items dealers have to fit to new cars before delivery continues to grow.
Following the launch of the portal, the next stage will be an app to add additional convenience.
