UK Carline becomes Kinto broker partner

CONGRATULATIONS to UK Carline, which has become an Approved Broker Partner of Kinto.

Announcing the recognition on LinkedIn, Darren Godbert said the brokerage had been working closely with Toyota and Lexus through the official broker programme for a number of years, but was now proudly placing the Kinto partnership plaque on display  in the  reception of the Preston broker’s HQ.

“For us, this recognition isn’t just a badge. It reflects years of trust, collaboration, feedback, and shared commitment to doing things the right way for our customers,” said Darren.

“Being part of the programme gives our customers access to the very best Toyota and Lexus leasing offers, supported directly by the manufacturer, backed by Kinto, and delivered by the incredible dealer network with the service standards we’re known for.”

Fall in price of used EVs arrested

IS the used EV RV freefall stopping? According to data provider Marketcheck, the steady decline in price is potentially coming to an end.

Used ev last listed price

Prices between January-March remained steady but experienced a sharp decline until August, says Marketcheck. In March the average last listed price of all used EV sold in the UK was £24,373.81, falling by £2,211.79 in August, when the average price reached £22,162.02.

Buyers waiting to see a further decline have been disappointed – unlike the leasing companies with exposure to the market – with prices starting to climb between August and October, where the average last listed price rose by £1,359, from £22,162 to £23,521.

Alastair Campbell from Marketcheck UK, commented:

“After a prolonged period of falling prices, we’re now seeing the first signs that the cost of a used EV may be starting to climb once again. Between August and October, average prices rose by over £1,300 – a sharp shift following several months of steady decline.

“This could mark a turning point for the used EV market. With demand remaining strong and supply tightening in some areas, price increases may become more common heading into 2026.”

Big Motoring World

In a further sign that consumers are beginning to check into used car offerings, retailer Big Motoring World said it recorded its most successful quarter in terms of used electric vehicle (EV) sales volume: EVs made up 19% of Big Motoring World sales in the third quarter of the year – up 52% on Q3 2024 figures.

Cox Automotive in its latest quarterly insight said that EV residual values were showing signs of stabilisation. “EVs under 12 months old have seen improvement this year, starting at 52% of original cost new (OCN) in January and rising to 56% in October,” commented Philip Nothard, Insight Director at Cox Automotive.

“This improvement has been driven by earlier market corrections and modest confidence among retailers and consumers in used EVs. A handful of asset holders have held back from defleeting their vehicles to soften the depreciation impact on the balance sheet, whilst replacing and adjusting their residual values to offset some earlier losses.”

Vanaways powers up Vanr’s nationwide delivery fleet

Vanaways supports Vanr

Vanaways is supporting fast-growing same-day and last-mile delivery specialist Vanr with a new fleet of vans that will keep the delivery company running smoothly as it hits the busiest period in the delivery calendar.

Vanr, which was founded and operated by brothers Nathan and Fabian Batchelor (above with Liam Nicholas), is a family-run logistics business specialising in multi-drop, same-day, and last-mile delivery across London and the wider UK.

“When we first started Vanr, we were running older vans that would break down often, disrupting operations and customer expectations,” explained Nathan Batchelor, Co-Founder and Director at Vanr.

“Working with Vanaways transformed our business. Their vehicles are reliable, the process is seamless, and the support we receive allows us to meet our clients’ demands even during peak periods.”

Through Business Development Director Liam Nicholas, Vanaways was able to source and deliver a full fleet of Citroën, Peugeot, and Vauxhall vans. Nathan continued: “I approached Liam needing five vehicles initially. Within weeks, that number grew to over 45, and Vanaways managed to deliver — all within a six-week turnaround. Their responsiveness and pricing were unmatched. Every time another supplier tried to match their quote, Liam went one better.”
