Mollie joined Vanaways in 2016 (left) as the company’s very first employee, stepping into the role of Office Manager at the very start of the company’s journey. From those early foundations, she quickly became an essential part of the team, helping to build the operational structure and establish the day to day processes that supported the business through its formative years.

As Vanaways expanded, Mollie’s role evolved in step with the company’s growth. Chris Jakeways, Director of Vanaways, says: “Mollie’s progression to Operations Director reflects her deep understanding of the business, alongside her ability to adapt, lead, and continually enhance how the organisation operates. She is the backbone of Vanaways.”

Vanaways Director Chris Jakeways describes Mollie as the “backbone of Vanaways”, praising her unwavering commitment, hands on approach, and willingness to take on any challenge. He credits her with playing a central role in shaping the company’s operations from the ground up and remaining a constant force throughout its development.

Use the right logo, says BVRLA

THE BVRLA is reminding leasing brokers to use the new BVRLA logo. “Our new logo toolkit makes it easy for members of BVRLA to use the correct branding across email signatures, websites and printed materials,” says the BVRLA.

Brokers can download the approved logos, usage guidance and file formats from the member area of the website. “We recommend placing the logo on your website (for example in the footer, accreditation or partner sections) and linking it directly to the Member Directory so customers can quickly verify your membership,” the BVRLA added.

Another record-breaking month for the UK used EV market

USED car market data provider MarketCheck reports that April 2026 was another record-breaking month for the UK used EV market.

A total of 34,932 used electric vehicles were sold across the UK during April. MarketCheck says this is the highest monthly figure it has ever recorded, surpassing the previous record of 32,880 set in March 2026.

The used EV market has expanded significantly over the last three years. Monthly sales in 2023 typically ranged between 7,000 and 8,500 vehicles; by mid-2025, volumes had risen beyond 20,000 per month; and by March were nearly at 33,000, in line with the increasing number of new car sales of electric vehicles.
