OGILVIE Fleet’s Sales and Marketing Director Nick Hardy (above) steps up to the MD role as current Ogilvie Fleet Managing Director Gordon Stephen is set to take on a new role as Chairman of Ogilvie’s automotive businesses, effective 01 July 2025.
Nick Hardy is a highly experienced automotive professional and has a deep understanding of the Ogilvie business having spent the last 18 years at the leasing company and broker funder.

The change at the top of Ogilvie Fleet means there are several other senior leadership changes.
Jill Stephen (previously Customer Services Director) will move into the role of Operations Director and work as Nick’s number two, taking on expanded responsibilities for more of Ogilvie’s day to day operational elements. Ashley Crookes (previously Director of Sales – North) will replace Nick as Sales & Marketing Director. Richard Jessop (previously Head of Salary Sacrifice) will take on the expanded role of Director of Sales – North.
Andy Stephen, having worked with Ogilvie for over 30 years, will become Technology & Systems Director, delivering a new strategy which includes future AI integration.
Outgoing MD Gordon Stephen reflected on his time at Ogilvie: “I have had an incredible career with Ogilvie Fleet and we have achieved so many great things, building the business up to what it is today. I’ve worked with a brilliant group of people and leave the future of the business in the extremely capable hands of Nick and his senior leadership team.”
Under Gordon’s stewardship, Ogilvie’s fleet size has grown from 750 to over 24,000 vehicles today, making it the leading independent leasing company in the UK. As well as becoming chairman of the Ogilvie Fleet board, Gordon will remain on the boards of Ogilvie Group, Coatbridge based leasing broker First Vehicle Leasing in Scotland and Active Claims Solutions.
