NIGEL King is the new operations director at All Car Leasing.
Demonstrating the increasing ability of broker SMEs to lure big names to their boards, King leaves Farnell Jaguar Land Rover, part of Vertu Motors PLC, to join the Cheshire-based leasing broker.
King, who was fleet director at Farnell Jaguar Land Rover, is tasked with increasing the business, both in terms of volume, but also in terms of its relationships with different funders along with broadening the scope of its sales channels.
King said:
“What started as an off-the-cuff remark to managing director Matt Crag turned into a deeper conversation over the last few months. With the direction and purpose of All Car Leasing’s broker business, I’m really excited to have made the move.”
Although King admits there is some irony in having spent a month on gardening leave, he then finds himself starting his new job at home, thanks to the coronavirus lockdown.
“It hasn’t prevented me from getting stuck in though,” he adds. “Even though I had to hand back my old company car and then the lockdown started before my new car could be delivered!”
Matt Crag, managing director, added on King’s appointment:
“Having Nigel join our company is testament to our trading history and the reputation we have built over our 21 year history. Nigel brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts to enable us to both explore new opportunities and develop existing ones to further enhance our already enviable portfolio.
“We are very excited to be working with Nigel and despite these uncertain times, very confident we can pool our resources and drive the business forward.”
