THE BVRLA’s Nora Leggett has been appointed the association’s new director of human resources, effective 01 July 2020.
Formerly the BVRLA’s director of member services, a position she has held since 2013, Leggett will now be responsible for managing recruitment, internal communications, payroll and benefits.
She will also maintain responsibility for the association’s Learning and Development team, which delivers a wide range of courses, qualifications and e-learning solutions that raise standards and professionalism across the BVRLA membership.
Commenting on the appointment, BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney said:
In today’s challenging and uncertain times it is more important than ever that we are able to support our members and protect their interests. We can only do this effectively if the BVRLA continues to attract, recruit and develop the best staff.
“Nora has always been responsible for the association’s HR function, but this new job title reflects both the growth in the organisation and the importance we place on developing and supporting our workforce.”
Leggett started her career as a graduate trainee with Hertz UK and gained her post-graduate qualification as a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development in 1979. She joined the association in 1997.
