CORPORATE vehicle and insurance hire provider Northgate Mobility has rebranded two businesses under its umbrella, in a move to unify brands

Specialist provider of temperature-controlled vehicles, FridgeXpress, becomes Northgate Temperature Controlled. It will continue to be led by Adam Naylor.

Blakedale, a traffic management specialist and supplier of traffic management and support vehicles, is now Northgate Highways. It will continue to be led by Jon Taylor.

Both come under the Northgate Mobility banner, connecting customers to the entire Northgate network via a single point of contact, backed by a specialist team.

Neil McCrossan, Managing Director at Northgate Mobility, said: “By aligning our businesses, systems, and brands under the Northgate Mobility umbrella, we are creating a more efficient, responsive, and connected organisation – making it easier for colleagues to collaborate, faster, and to serve customers even better whilst being clearer for stakeholders to understand who we are and how we create value.”

Part of the ZIGUP plc group, Northgate Mobility brings together corporate vehicle hire, fleet management, insurance replacement vehicles and claims management services, and specialist vehicle expertise under one connected proposition.

Northgate Mobility gives customers a single point of access to the full vehicle lifecycle, supported by specialist teams and nationwide coverage. The fleet numbers around 60,000 vehicles across 63 UK and Ireland locations, and as part of ZIGUP, it has direct access to one of the largest nationwide bodyshop and recovery operations.

Northgate Highways operates a fleet of over 1,200 specialist vehicles, offering short and long‑term rental, contract hire, bespoke vehicle build, and sales of new and used vehicles. It also manufactures and supplies Marker Post products to the highways sector.

Northgate Temperature Controlled has a fleet of over 800 specialist refrigerated vehicles, ranging from small vans to HGVs, offering short and long‑term rental designed to flex around seasonal peaks and operational demand across a range of sectors, including food and pharmaceuticals.
