NOVUNA Vehicle Solutions is supporting the automotive charity, Ben. One of the Senior Leadership Team – Amy Lawrence, Head of Marketing (above) – at broker funder Novuna Vehicle Solutions is taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon this April.
“At Novuna, we’re committed to supporting the automotive industry and the people who keep it moving. That’s why we continue to work closely with Ben, the automotive industry charity, ensuring they can provide vital support offering financial assistance, mental health support, and practical help to those facing life’s toughest challenges,” said Amy.
“This isn’t just about one person’s effort, it’s about Novuna standing with the industry and ensuring Ben has the resources to help those in need.”
A keen runner, Amy has already completed several half marathons and felt it was time for a bigger challenge.
“The London Marathon has been a bucket list dream for years, and combining this personal goal with the chance to raise awareness and funds for Ben makes it all the more meaningful.
“Ben provides an invaluable lifeline to our community and I’ve seen that first-hand with my colleagues who have personally benefited from Ben’s support. I wanted to not only raise funds for Ben but also awareness across my company and my network as I think it’s such a vital and important charity, especially as they truly understand the challenges our peers may face.”
Amy has been training early in the dark, cold winter mornings but has enjoyed catching sunrises and pushing herself to new milestones, including a 35,000 kilometre run (21.8 miles).
“A mix of podcasts, scenic countryside, and a few personal training sessions have kept me motivated—and I’m learning to dodge the occasional overly enthusiastic dog!”
She is both nervous and excited about the big day when she’ll need to complete 42.4kms (26.2 miles).
“The thought of crossing the finish line, surrounded by an electric atmosphere, and knowing I’ve made a difference feels incredibly rewarding,” she says.
