OGILVIE Fleet has boosted its ability to offer a wider range of vehicle mobility solutions with the acquisition of ONWRD.

Cambridgeshire-based ONWRD was established 16 years ago and provides access to a broad range of vehicle types including cars, LCVs, HGVs and specialist vehicles, through an established network of partners.

Their existing customer base includes organisations operating in infrastructure, building supplies, construction, renewables, housing associations, furniture, marine, and education, complementing Ogilvie’s own areas of expertise.

From a strategic perspective, the deal enhances Ogilvie Fleet’s ability to offer a wider range of vehicle mobility solutions, while creating opportunities to support ONWRD clients with additional fleet services, including contract hire and a broader fleet management capability.

“ONWRD is a strong cultural fit for Ogilvie Fleet. Both businesses share a customer-first approach and a commitment to doing business in the right way. By bringing ONWRD into the Ogilvie Fleet group of businesses, we can broaden the range of solutions we offer and better support clients with their diverse and evolving fleet requirements.”

Clients of both businesses will benefit from increased flexibility, access to a broader vehicle mix and the combined experience and purchasing strength of the two organisations.

ONWRD will continue to operate with its existing customer-facing teams, ensuring continuity for clients. Day-to-day relationships will remain unchanged, while back-office operations will be supported by Ogilvie Fleet as part of the wider integration.

Mark Thompson, Managing Director at ONWRD, said: “Joining Ogilvie Fleet, a long-established independent leasing provider with more than 45 years’ experience, is an important step for ONWRD. The scale, stability and reputation Ogilvie has built over that time strengthens our ability to support clients across a wider range of fleet and mobility requirements, while maintaining the flexibility, service standards and customer focus they expect from us.”
